We been keeping this one under wraps for sometime, This is one of my dream project, that I always wanted translated for years.and finally you Biker Gang Anime Fans! We are presenting this exclusively to you. ” Yankee Reppuutai ” is a Japanese manga work originally written by Masahide Masahide .Serialized in Monthly Shonen Magazine ( Kodansha ) from 1986 to 1993. Cumulative circulation has exceeded 6.5 million . From 1989 to 1996, six OVAs were made, and in 1995, it was made into a live-action movie.The Yankee Reppu-tai OVA series is one such forgotten gem. Toei produced the six 50-minute OVAs based on Masahide Motohashi’s 28-volume manga series. The series was directed by veteran animator Tetsuro Imazawa, The series revolves around 18-year-old Monda Monnojo who seems on first impression to be a carefree, playful and silly adolescent with an affection for his souped-up Subaru 360 convertible. However, circumstances reveal that he’s actually a near superhumanly tough street fighter with a strong sense of honor. Monda’s personality is an extreme version of characters like Ryo Saeba and Vash the Stampede. When he’s among his friends and especially with his girlfriend, Mari, he’s lighthearted and goofy. But he turns authoritative and pugilistic at a moment’s notice, barking out his name and affiliation before engaging in brutal fights involving bare knuckles, boken, knives, razor blades, and broken glass bottles. You get the idea of his character…We not going to spoil this for you fans!
